Every year Indian International Trade Fair(IITF) brings together the whole industry to make people aware about the latest technology, products and services in the market. The basic idea is to broaden and expand the business horizon across all market. Companies participate to promote their products and evaluate their competitors. The first week of the trade fair is for the business representatives, CEOs, trade and business visitors, senior state representatives and global sellers and buyers. It becomes accessible to the general masses thereafter to update themselves and have some fun at the event.
EMPI Business School is a management institute which believes in equal importance of extracurricular activities along with the class room studies. It was on 22nd November, 2016 when students were given an opportunity to understand the world of business through IITF. EMPI B-School students grabbed the opportunity to celebrate 36th year IITF at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi and attend the mega trade show in India.
The 13 day event is represented by entrepreneurs, artisans and government departments like handloom, handicraft, horticulture and other industries. The event is organised every year between 14th till 27th November. Highlighting the Digital India theme the Indian International Trade Fair focused on products/services and projects under the Digital India Program. This time the fair witnessed participants and traders from 7000 odd countries from across the globe. This time the partner country was South Korea and focus country was Belarus. Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand participated as partner states and Haryana as focus state. More than 50 companies and 27 countries took part in IITF, New Delhi.
The question arises what was the learning for the management students at an event like this?
